Grindelwald in the winter

When it comes to winter sport in Grindelwald, can we say: skiing amidst the most beautiful scenery in the world! In the Grindelwald First ski resort , the Jungfrau ski region and sections of Männlichen and Wengen there are optimal piste conditions for skiers and snowboarders. Set amidst unique mountain scenery there are hundreds of kilometres of slopes which can be used.

In the skiing areas and resorts there is something for everyone, whether beginners or more advanced. At the Lauberhorn in the Kleine Scheidegg ski region, you can find the famous World Cup course. About 20% of the slopes are designated "black", meaning that they should only be used by experienced skiers.

Snowboarder Paradise

In the Börgelegg terrain park, snowboarders will get their fill of fun: halfpipe, slides, clicker and tables await them in the Boarder Resort and Stoneland Park. Between Wengen and Grindelwald there are 110 amazing slopes, where even free riders can enjoy themselves. Please always look out for avalanche warnings.

Cross-country skiing & sledding

Apart from kilometres of cross-country skiing trails (approx. 16 km) there are also marked tracks for sledding. The longest sledding piste in the Alps ends in Grindelwald. You cover around 15 km on the sledge and descend from a height of 1600 metres. Night tobogganing tours are also available. Sledding is fun for the whole family.

Winter hiking and snow shoeing

If you don't want to go skiing or snowboarding, you can find approx. 100 km of prepared winter hiking trails. The winter scenery of the North Face of the Eiger and the Jungfrau is something really special and can be enjoyed just as much whilst walking. There are also guided winter hiking tours.

There are many health and wellness experiences available in Grindelwald. Our holiday apartment provides you with a private sauna and one of the two bathrooms in the chalet boasts a whirlpool.
